DVS requirements are changing

On the 28th October 2024, existing vehicle permits for the Greater London will no longer be valid. New permits will only be issued only to DVS compliant vehicles.

DVS requires the provision of indirect vision (via cameras) where direct vision is not possible, and audible warnings when vulnerable road users are at risk.
A DVS compliant system must include:
Camera monitoring systems to eliminate blind spots
A Moving Off Information System (MOIS) to detect vulnerable road users in front of the vehicle and provide clear, audible warnings to the driver when necessary
A Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) on the near side of the vehicle to detect vulnerable road users and provide warnings as above
Audio warnings that sound outside the vehicle when vulnerable road users are at risk
AI front camera covering the entirety of the blindspot in front of the cab, with internal monitor automatically activated before moving off, and connected to our advanced AI detection engine for vulnerable road users.
AI nearside camera covering entirety of nearside blindspot, with in-cab monitor activated on left turn, and AI detection of vulnerable road users anywhere on the nearside of the vehicle.
Audible alerts automatically warn the driver when any manoeuvre poses a risk to a vulnerable road user, or any other vehicle or hazard on the road. Dynamic monitors ensure that drivers always have perfect visibility
A DVS system must be capable of alerting drivers when vulnerable road users are in blind spots, but these alerts must not be triggered by street furniture or cars. CameraMatics includes a sophisticated AI engine that is proven to spot vulnerable road users – and only warn drivers when it really matters.
CameraMatics provides audible warnings to external road users on left turn, plus DVS compliant decal packs providing appropriate messaging for your vehicle.
